- Sue provided a commissioned piece for the above project. As the building was originally built in 1930 we thought a piece of artwork in the style of an artist of the period would be appropriate. The modern movement at that time brought up many prolific artists; we looked at many but asked Sue to develop a painting which included the 'essence’ of Mark Rothko’s work, with a clear definition on the colour red. This she did with many sample pieces for our discussion and selection. We visited Sue at the studio as work progressed and ensured introductions with the construction team prior to installation.
